Seasonal centerpiece installations for Lunar New Year

Overview
We transformed prominent COD concourses into immersive seasonal landmarks across two consecutive years. Both centerpieces use layered rings and a perimeter-lit base to frame a heroic sculptural form—composed for 360° viewing and effortless photography.
Delivery model: engineered for client-side installation. We provided design development, engineering, fabrication, full pre-assembly, and comprehensive install documentation (with remote/on-site supervision during commissioning).

2024 • Year of the Dragon — “Imperial Dragon Gateway”
A dynamic, front-facing composition: a monumental dragon head rises from tiered plinths, flanked by ceremonial drums and backed by a luminous cloud wall. The COD monogram becomes a glowing stage marker for selfies and press shots.

Purpose
Drive festive footfall and retail conversion: bold iconography gathers crowds, the COD mark anchors photos, and clear queuing zones keep circulation smooth for adjacent tenants.

Materials & Techniques

  • Structure & Skins: steel chassis; CNC-carved foam with FRP lamination; aluminum trims.
  • Surfaces: automotive-grade lacquer in red/gold; satin metallic highlights; printed & routed acrylic cloud motifs.
  • Lighting/Media: RGB LED “neon” outlines; edge-lit acrylic COD monogram; mapped backlighting for clouds and plinths.
  • Engineering: concealed wiring and quick-connect looms; quick-lock hardware; weighted base and hidden anchor points; labeled crates with wiring maps & step-by-step manuals.

Impact (Immersive Market Strategy)

  • Instant Landmark: towering dragon visage + COD logo reads from distance and on camera.
  • Media → Moment Flow: animated cloud light washes lead guests to the central photo mark.
  • Shareability: bold symmetry, reflective surfaces, and clean forecourt for group shots.
  • Scalable: modular base and demountable horns/drums simplify storage and future reuse.

2025 • Year of the Snake — “Serpentine Jewel Pavilion”
A looping, jewel-like serpent—finished in red/gold faceted mirror—twists within layered arches, ingots, and crystalline “mountains.” The composition is fully 360°, inviting guests to orbit and discover multiple photo angles.

Purpose
Refresh the destination with a new icon while retaining the proven footprint and services, sustaining LNY engagement and social reach.

Materials & Techniques

  • Structure & Skins: steel armature; FRP sculpted body with tessellated mirror cladding; aluminum arch frames.
  • Surfaces: vacuum-metalized red/gold facets; pearl-satin panels; cast-acrylic “crystals”; brushed champagne details.
  • Lighting/Media: RGBW LED halo around the base; arch insets with continuous light diffusers; illuminated COD monogram; programmed sequences for glow, sparkle, and “breathing” effects.
  • Engineering: tool-free sectional body for lift/elevator logistics; hidden service hatches; forced-air cooling where required; quick-swap LED drivers; full commissioning checklists.

Impact (Immersive Market Strategy)

  • Instant Landmark: elevated serpent + perimeter halo reads across the atrium and balconies.
  • Media → Merch Flow: multiple “framed” vistas encourage exploration through adjacent luxury retail.
  • Shareability: faceted reflections create ever-changing backdrops; COD mark guarantees brand in-frame.
  • Scalable: re-skin potential (colorways/props) and re-deployable base improve ROI.

Deployment
Both years were delivered as pre-assembled modules with labeled crates, sequence plans, and commissioning checklists—optimized for COD/GC installation within overnight windows. Our team supplied remote support and on-site supervision to ensure safe handover, lighting calibration, and show cues.
